OurClub
Effective date: 30 August 2026
OurClub is a small app for keeping up healthy habits with a few people you actually know. We have tried to build it so that it needs very little about you.
The rest of this page explains all of that properly.
OurClub is built and operated by Thanapol Doungsaeng, as an individual.
If you have a question about privacy, or you want to exercise any of the rights described below, write to:
For anything else — a bug, a problem with your account, general help:
A real person reads both.
We have grouped this by what you actually do in the app.
OurClub uses Sign in with Apple and nothing else. There is no password to create, and we never receive one.
Apple gives us a unique identifier that tells us it is you each time you come back, and may also give us an email address for your account. If you chose Hide My Email, that address is Apple's private relay address rather than your personal one — that choice is yours to make, and it works normally with OurClub.
We use this only to keep you signed in and to identify your account.
We ask for your date of birth once, when you first sign in, and store it.
We use it for two things: to confirm you are old enough to use OurClub at all, and to confirm you are old enough to use meetups. See Age requirements below. Your date of birth is not shown to other people in the app.
This is the part of OurClub that needs the most care, so it gets the most detail.
Sleep, from Apple Health. If you allow it, OurClub reads one thing from Apple Health: how many hours you slept, per day. That total is stored with your account and used for your sleep score.
Workouts you log. If you record a workout in OurClub, we store the exercises and the sets — reps and weight. You type these in; we do not read them from anywhere else.
Food you log. If you record a meal, we store what it was and its estimated calories and macronutrients, along with whether you entered it by hand or from a photo.
Your daily scores. We calculate a daily score for sleep, exercise and eating from the information above, and store it.
Health and fitness information is sensitive. We treat it that way: it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone except as described in Who can see your information.
OurClub can identify a meal or a piece of gym equipment from a photograph, so you do not have to type it in. This feature is off until you turn it on — there is a consent screen that explains what happens and names the third party involved, and you can switch it off again in Settings at any time.
When you use it, here is exactly what happens:
We do keep a small record that a scan happened — which kind, and when — so that we can apply a daily limit on how many scans each person can run. That record contains no image.
To be precise about the distinction: the photo is transmitted to and processed by Anthropic in order to answer the question, even though it is not stored by us.
What Anthropic says about the photos it receives. The following describes Anthropic's published terms and policies. It is their commitment, not a technical guarantee we are in a position to make on their behalf:
Anthropic receives the photograph and a fixed set of instructions telling it what to look for. It does not receive your name, your account, your date of birth, your health information, or your location.
Meetups are the social part of OurClub, and location works differently from what most apps do, so this is worth reading.
Your own location never leaves your phone. If you allow location access, OurClub uses it only on your device, to work out how far away each meetup is and to sort the list by distance. That reading is not sent to us, not stored, and not shared. If you decline location access, you can still browse meetups — they simply will not be sorted by distance.
Venue locations are different. When someone hosts a meetup, they choose the venue by dragging a map to the spot. That map position is a place they picked for the meetup, not a reading of where their phone is, and it does not start from their location. We store it, along with the venue's name and type, and show it to people who can see the meetup — that is the whole point of a meetup listing.
Meetup content. The title, description and "what to expect" that a host writes are stored and shown to others who can see the meetup.
Join requests. If you ask to join a meetup, we store that request and any short note you attach, and show it to the host so they can decide.
Sharing. If you share a meetup with someone, we store who shared what with whom, so it can appear for them.
Meetup confirmations. Before you can use meetups, we record that you confirmed you meet the age requirement and that you agreed to the meetup consents. We keep these records so that we can show we asked.
If you turn on notifications, Apple gives your device a notification token, and we store it so we can send you a notification about your meetups and your circle.
How that token gets removed again:
Turning notifications off inside OurClub stops us sending them, but does not by itself remove the token; one of the three routes above does that.
Please note that notification text appears on your lock screen, and it includes a person's display name and the kind of activity — for example, "Mika wants to join your run." Anyone who can see your lock screen can see that. If this matters to you, iOS lets you hide notification previews until the phone is unlocked.
OurClub is invite-based. We store the invite codes and who invited whom, so that a code can only be used once and so that circles are put together correctly.
Some settings never leave your device — whether you have turned the camera feature on, whether you have already been shown a particular prompt, and when your sleep last synced. These are stored by the app on your phone and are cleared when you sign out.
We think this is as important as the list above.
Other people in OurClub see very little, and only what you have chosen.
We see what is described in this policy, in order to run the service and to handle reports.
Nobody else sees it except the service providers below, and only to the extent they need to in order to do their part.
We keep this list short deliberately. There are three.
Apple — for Sign in with Apple, for delivering notifications to your device, and for Apple Health on your phone. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Supabase — our hosting and database provider. Your account and the information described above are stored on infrastructure they operate.
Anthropic — used only when you take or choose a photo with the camera feature, in order to identify what is in it. Anthropic does not receive anything else about you — no name, no health data, no location.
That is the complete list of outside companies that receive information from OurClub. There is no advertising network, no analytics provider, and no data broker involved.
The services we rely on operate internationally. Your information may be processed and stored outside the country where you live, including in the United States.
We want to be straightforward rather than give you a table that looks precise and is not.
We do not currently operate a fixed deletion schedule for the other categories. If that changes, we will update this page.
You can delete your account yourself, from the bottom of Settings. You do not need to email us or wait for us.
When you do:
Deleting your account is permanent. We cannot restore it.
Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted. Access to the database is controlled by rules that keep each person's information limited to them and to the people they have specifically chosen to share with, and those rules are enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app.
We should be honest about the limits of that sentence: OurClub is a small operation, and no service can promise that information sent over the internet is perfectly secure. We do what we reasonably can, and we would rather say that plainly than make a guarantee we cannot keep.
If you believe you have found a security problem, please write to privacy@joinourclub.app.
You must be at least 13 to use OurClub. We ask your date of birth when you first sign in. If you tell us you are under 13, we do not create an account and we do not keep what you entered.
Meetups are limited to people 18 and over. Meetups involve arranging to meet other people in person, so the requirement is higher there than for the rest of the app. If you are between 13 and 17 you can use everything else — habits, scores, your circle.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has created an account, write to privacy@joinourclub.app and we will remove it.
Things you can do yourself, right now, in the app:
| You want to | Where |
|---|---|
| See what we hold about you | It is what the app shows you — profile, scores, workouts, food logs, meetups |
| Change your display name or goals | Settings |
| Stop sharing your scores with someone | Your circle |
| Turn the camera feature off | Settings |
| Stop sharing sleep data | Apple's Health app, or iOS Settings |
| Stop location being used | iOS Settings |
| Choose which notifications you get | Settings, in the app |
| Turn all notifications off | iOS Settings |
| Block or report someone | The person's profile, or the meetup |
| Delete your account and its data | Settings, at the bottom |
Things you can ask us for. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under local law — for example to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used.
Write to privacy@joinourclub.app. Tell us what you would like, and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can. If we need to verify that the account is yours before acting, we will ask.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
If we change this policy, we will update the page and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know rather than quietly editing the page.
